The next Club meeting is Monday April 1st at 7:30p at the Holiday Inn.  We will be in the George room this month. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to attend.

What a difference a month makes!!!  The snow is gone and trails officially close April 1st.  Section leaders are gearing up to start taking signs out.  I believe there is a section or two that need leaders yet or could be split up.  If you are interested in taking “ownership” of a section of trail by become a section leader please reach out to me or Roman Johnson. Otherwise watch your email for a work day email to get signs pulled out of those sections. Now is a great time to get involved so you know were to put them back in the Fall.

Elections – Every April we hold elections for positions that are on a two year rotating term.  This time around the Vice President and Secretary positions are up for grabs.  The Vice-President primarily is in charge of sending out membership renewal notices to club members and occasionally filling in for the President if every needed.  The Secretary position takes meeting minutes and reads them at the following meeting.  James Kloeckner has been out VP and Brad Wallace has been our Secretary. Thank you to both of them for filling these roles the last couple years.  The Trail Administrator position is voted on annually.  Roman Johnson has held this position for a number of years. Thanks Roman!  He has done a great job, but he is open and willing to let someone else give it a try if they so desire.  This positon is primarily responsible for submitting benchmarks to the DNR for reimbursement, annual sign order, maintaining land owner documentation and coordinating with the Trail Committee.  Feel free to reach out to me or anyone of the individual that currently hold these positions if you have questions.  If you would like to or be willing to take on one of these roles and can’t make it please let me know.

Landowner thank you’s will be going out in the mail shortly.  If you know any land owners on our trail system make sure to thank them for allowing us to use their land.

MNUSA Spring Meeting is April 26th in Brainerd.

Summer Campout.  As most of you should know our Region is hosting the Summer Campout this year and our club has a committee organizing the event.  It will be held July 12-14 at the Flying Goose Campground.  We are going to need helpers throughout the weekend to make this a successful event.  Please mark this on your calendar.  If you want to camp make sure to get your reservations made  ASAP.

Thank you for being a club member. Invite a friend to the meeting, encourage young people to become involved and Like/Follow/Share the Blizzard Snowmobile Club on Facebook and Instagram @ #blizzard_snowmobile_club_
