Greetings Blizzard Snowmobile Club Members!
After a long and grueling campaign I was elected as the new Club President! You will have the pleasure of putting up with me for the next two years! First I want to thank Duffy for serving as the President the last few years. He was full of ……….. great ideas and made the meetings fun. So I have some big shoes to fill. Thank you Duffy!
I would like to invite everyone to our next meeting which is on Monday May 2nd at 7:30 in the Sisseton Room at the Holiday Inn.
Mark your calendars. At the last meeting we decided to combine the Landowners Appreciation Dinner and the Club’s summer picnic. Brad Wallace took charge of getting the Yacht Club reserved and the Pork Producers lined up for Sunday July 24th time TBD. Invites and RSVP’s to follow in the coming weeks. Bring the family and enjoy games, boating, swimming, good food and drink all while thanking our landowners for letting us use their property for the trail.
We have a couple opportunities available. Since I took on the President role we are in need of a Vice President to fill the remainder of the term (1 year). The primary responsibility of the VP is to send out membership renewal reminders. Please let me know if you are interested in serving as the VP or have any questions. We also have a couple sections of trail we either need leaders or assists to help with signing. If you are interested in being a section leader or assist with a section please let me or Roman Johnson know.
Thank you to all of you who support snowmobiling in our County by serving as Club officers, trail section leaders, groomer operators, helping on trail work days, and just being a member of the club. It takes a small army to keep it all going. Help keep the Club and sport strong! Invite a friend to the meeting, encourage young people to become involved, and Like and follow the Blizzard Snowmobile Club on Facebook!
