The groomer has been repaired and I believe it cost much less than we were fearing so whew. Thanks to all that helped get that job done. Brent made the trip out to Wisconsin to bring the groomer home so thanks for that Brent. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and predict we will have no more problems with the groomer the rest of this sledding season.
Everyone has read Roman’s email so you know we need some help with trail signing. Please consider helping out with this duty as it is a very necessary part of our trail system.
Greg Gellert said he no longer wants to be the groomer coordinator so Roman will be needing someone to help with that duty also.
Greg did say he wants to take charge of the map and race ads for the club and he will continue to disc the entire trail system in the fall before we sign the trails. He said he is retiring and wants to cut back, but it looks to me like he is still going to be busy.
I have been crabbing about needing a secretary for some time now and asked about combining it with the Treasurer (since Nancy gets pegged to take notes anyway) but a funny thing happened at our last meeting…Brad Wallace agreed to fill the position until it comes up for election next year. Thanks Brad for stepping up to that. Thanks for all the stand in report writers we have used in the past. Everyone has their own writing styles and it has been entertaining trying to read the minutes when the writer is not present.
Speaking of elections…..we are in need of a President as I am not going to re-up for it. Treasurer and Trail Administrator positions are also up for election. Nancy and Roman have both indicated they are willing to continue so I thank them for that. Please come and help the club fill our vacancies.
I want to thank everyone that has supported me as President of this club. I have enjoyed working with all of you and playing with all of you. We have tried to come up with fun things to do along the way and I hope whoever takes over has success in keeping our club a fun place to gather.
